The University sent out a Bearcat Alert and an email to students Feb. 13 that the Maryville campus will be closed Feb. 14 and 15 due to the wind chill. The Northwest-Kansas City in Gladstone, Missouri will be closed Feb. 15 also due to  wind chill.

At roughly noon, the University announced that the campus will be closed except for the residence halls, the Station and  dining facilities in the J. W. Jones Student Union. All in-person classes will be canceled, but remote classes may still be held.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a Wind Chill Warning from the evening of Feb. 13 into Feb. 15 with the temperatures falling to roughly minus 12.

The University urges students to check Canvas for any assignments or notifications from their professors. It also urges students and employees to check the weather and maintain caution when outdoors.
